Temores ante el regreso de Antonio Margarito

Mi preocupación está a punto de llegar al límite. Creo que lo que siento es solamente comparable a la vez que me tocó ir en una avioneta Cessna bimotor y pasar en medio de una tormenta con relámpagos, ráfagas y agua en demasía, mientras que el piloto giraba su rostro hacia mí para decirme pintado de rojo nervios: "Está feo esto". En fin, sobreviví.

El temor que me arropa es provocado por el anuncio del regreso de Antonio Margarito. Es un temor acompañado de intriga y un temor que a final de cuentas repercute sobre el bienestar del deporte que amamos.

No sé si de verdad Antonio Margarito sabía que había yeso de París en su vendaje de la noche del 24 de enero en Los Ángeles, antes de que fuera destruido por Shane Mosley. No sé si Margarito es tan inocente como él y su entrenador Javier Capetillo dicen que es. Y tampoco sé qué quiere decirle Margarito a su gente, ya que los intentos de mi editor por lograr una entrevista con él han sido infructuosos.

Pero en fin, ojalá que de verdad el 'Tornado' haya sido inocente y el tiempo pueda limpiar el manchón, aunque dudo ambas aspiraciones.

El diario mexicano 'Esto' dice en un artículo que la suspensión que cayó sobre el boxeador nacido en California, pero criado, forjado y hecho en Tijuana, se levantará el 20 de este mes.

Pero la principal es ¿cómo recibirá la afición a Margarito en su primera pelea después que regrese?

Hay turbulencia todavía, pero como dice aquella frasecita millones de veces usada: "Después de la tormenta llega la calma", a saber entonces si 'El Tornado' volverá a arrasar o se quedará en definitiva como aquel aguacerito debilucho que se vio ante Mosley.

De ser así, entonces aumentarán justificadamente las suposiciones de que el yeso estuvo presente casi siempre dentro de los guantes de 'Tony'.
