Ambos temas ponen en vilo la credibilidad y vigencia de la F1 y ahora estaría por verse quienes figurarían para escalar al podio.

El director del equipo Renault, Flavio Briatore, y el jefe de ingenieros, Pat Symmonds, renunciaron a raíz de las acusaciones en su contra por parte del piloto brasileño Nelsinho Piquet, quien dijo que durante el Gran Premio de Singapur de la pasada temporada, recibió la orden de simular un accidente para favorecer la victoria de su compañero Fernando Alonso.
El ex director Briatore señaló a The Mirror (Inglaterra) que su renuncia fue por bien del equipo, para evitar rumores y que la escuadra continuara con sus trabajos como lo ha venido haciendo.
Pero lo peor no es que se vaya Flavio, lo peor es que la la Federación Internacional de Automovilismo (FIA) lleva a cabo una investigación, para comprobar si la grave denuncia de Piquet corresponde a la verdad, que de ser así podría causar la expulsión de la escudería francesa de la Fórmula Uno.
La "orden" de simular un accidente, tenía el objetivo de impedir a través del ingreso en la pista de la "safety car", un inmediato abastecimiento a los otros pilotos, para permitir a Alonso (como efectivamente sucedió) aprovechar para encabezar la carrera (que ganó), por haberse abastecido de carburante poco antes de la salida de su compañero.
Respecto al caso de Lewis Hamilton, el rumor radica en la mala relación que el piloto tiene con uno de los socios patrocinadoresdel equipo.
Los rumores dicen que se alegó que los fabricantes alemanes de coches están tratando de comprar 75% de Brawn GP, de modo que puedan asumir el control total y recrear "Silver Arrows", el equipo de Mercedes que pre-dominaban la guerra de carreras Grand Prix.
Este chisme deja en un tornado de polémica a Lewis Hamilton y Jenson Button.
¿Qué pasaría en caso de ser cierto?
No obstante, McLaren Mercedes tienen una cláusula de "exclusividad" sobreentendida en el contrato que los une hasta el final de la temporada de 2011.
Lo que pasaría finalmente es que Lewis buscara otro fabricante con el cuál seguir haciendo leyenda en la F1.
