Landon Donovan de Estados Unidos logró uno de esos tantos para el recuerdo en la cita máxima del fútbol el viernes, al empalmar un violento remate desde un ángulo muy cerrado, que entró cerca del travesaño, pegado al prime palo, sin que el arquero Samir Handanovic de Eslovenia atinase a hacer nada.
De hecho, Handanovic instintivamente giró la cabeza, como protegiéndola de la potencia del remate.La conquista, a los 48 minutos, puso en marcha una remontada de Estados Unidos, que empató 2-2 con Eslovenia luego de ir perdiendo 2-0.

La de Donovan fue una jugada parecida. El estadounidense se internó en el área por la derecha y, al igual que Maicon, miró hacia atrás, como si fuese a lanzar un pase. Pero remató al arco y clavó el balón en el único sitio que tenía descubierto, el ángulo alto del primer palo.
Handanovic estaba pegado al poste, por lo que era imposible tratar de meterla por allí, como hizo Maicon. Donovan buscó entonces el ángulo alto con un disparo asesino y la pelota sacudió la red.
Pese al golazo, Donovan se fue frustrado por el tanto que el árbitro de Malí Koman Coulibaly le anuló a Estados Unidos al final del partido, que le hubiese dado la victoria a su equipo.
"No sé cómo nos robaron ese gol", declaró Donovan. "Era el primer partido del árbitro en un Mundial. Tal vez se vio abrumado".
"Ahora tenemos que reagruparnos físicamente y prepararnos mentalmente para un encuentro duro con Argelia", ante la cual Estados Unidos se jugará la clasificación.
Estados Unidos tiene dos puntos en dos partidos y podría clasificarse con una victoria ante los argelinos por el Grupo C, que completa Inglaterra.

Los deportes lo toman muy a pecho...el deporte siempre a sido para mi... mente, corazon y un cuerpo sano, pura diversion, un compartir, saber perder y ganar. Pero lamentablemente no es asi....
