En una nota publicada por el portal Esma.com, el juicio está previsto para el 8 de abril del 2010, después del acto de conciliación que ambas partes celebraron hace unos dos meses en el que no llegaron a un acuerdo satisfactorio.
La directiva del Barcelona dio a conocer que el jugador camerunés solicita un 15% de los 20 millones de dólares en que fue tazada su transferencia, sin embargo, la entidad catalana señala que ese pago corresponde al equipo comprador.
Eto'o y los abogados del Barcelona se reunirán en los próximos días y de no llegar a un acuerdo la situación pasaría a carácter de demanda.
En entrevista al programa 'Esport club' de TV3, Eto'o declaró que su salida del club no se debió a que tuviera problemas con sus compañeros del club catalán.
"Es mentira que yo fuera un problema en el vestuario", señaló el camerunés, que dijo que ha dejado muchos amigos en el vestuario. "Salí del Barça pero lo sigo llevando en el corazón y tengo muchos amigos ahí y hablo con casi todos a menudo", comentó Etoo.
Como si fueran pocos los problemas de infraestructura de Sudáfrica para el Mundial, ahora se podrían sumar las bajas de las más grandes figuras del fútbol mundial como Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Samuel Eto'o o Thierry Henry.Aunque cada uno tiene su problemática particular y más o menos chances de que su selección clasifique, la realidad es que el riesgo es latente. El Mundial podría no tener el brillo de jugadores que con sus equipos han dominado la escena.

Parece que el Barça no anda muy preocupado por perder a Eto'o la temporada que viene. Y a mí ya me ha entrado el miedo. Con la fenomenal temporada de Xavi e Iniesta, y la sublime culminación del triángulo con Messi, parece que todo el éxito corresponde a ese círculo mágico, del que Eto'o queda marginado por no tener la clase de los otros tres. Y es cierto, el camerunés no tiene el estilo y el toque del argentino ni de los centrocampistas de la casa. Pero Eto'o tiene gol, y eso es lo que, al fin y al cabo, gana los partidos. Eto'o metió el primer gol en la final de la Champions –después de haber marcado ya en París- y ha sumado 30 dianas esta temporada. Si le quitamos eso al Barcelona ¿se hubieran conseguido los tres títulos?
