José Luís Camarillo hizo una excelente cobertura sobre lo ocurrido en la pelea de campeonato mundial minimosca entre el mexicano Edgar Sosa y el filipino Rodel Mayol, pero creo que ya es demasiada su campaña de desprestigio hacia la figura de Mayol tras haberle fracturado el hueso maxilar del lado izquierdo al ex-campeón mexicano.

Si bien ese cabezazo fue el detonante del nocaut que vino momentos después de que se reinició el pleito, también tenemos qué tener cuidado a la hora de subirnos al barco del desprestigio del peleador filipino. Camarillo no midió sus palabras, y perdió el estilo al decir: "Mayol es un serio peligro para sus adversarios dado su amplio historial de cabezazos. No debería permitírsele pelear más."

Se habla de que posiblemente Yuriorkis Gamboa estaría exponiendo su título mundial pluma de la Asociación Mundial de Boxeo (AMB) ante el tanzanio Rogers Mtagwa, púgil que apenas el pasado 10 de octubre en el Madison Square Garden le dio una golpiza al boricua Juan Manuel López en los últimos rounds de su combate en donde se encontraba en juego la corona mundial supergallo de la Organización Mundial de boxeo (OMB), misma que retuvo López por 5ta vez desde que se convirtió en monarca.

El jefe de Arena Box Promotions, Ahmet Oner manifestó su interés en llevar a cabo ésta pelea. Suena atractiva ya que Bob Arum planea enfrentar a Yuriorkis Gamboa con Juan Manuel López en 2010, y los aficionados van a estar atentos al desempeño del campeón mundial cubano contra el que estuvo cerca de quitarle el invicto al que antes era conocido como el terror de las 122 libras.

Realmente no me siento muy entusiasmado con la pelea que se celebrará el próximo sábado entre el campeón de peso completo del Consejo Mundial de Boxeo (CMB), el ucraniano Vitali Klitschko y el mexicoamericano Chris Arreola. Y aunque estamos en el mes patrio -un mes lleno de fiesta mexicana-, con los últimos resultados arrojados por nuestros peleadores, no es mucha la motivación que tengo.

El pesaje de la pelea entre Vitali Klitschko y Chris Arreola se celebró la tarde de ayer en las afueras del Staples Center de Los Ángeles California, Klitschko marcó en la balanza 252 libras, mientras que el mexicoamericano Chris Arreola marcó 251 libras.

Arreola tuvo que pesarse en dos ocasiones, ya que en primera instancia subió a la romana con la playera puesta, llegando a 272 libras, lo que provocó la desilusión de los miembros de la prensa y los aficionados que se dieron cita a la ceremonia del pesaje. Momentos después Arreola levantó las manos pidiendo disculpas por lo ocurrido y se quitó la playera, mostrando que llevaba un chaleco puesto que lo hizo estar más pesado. Causando risas entre los asistentes, se quitó el chaleco y dio paso a subirse de nuevo a la balanza, marcando 251 libras en su segundo intento.

Pentacampeones del Mundo, tricampeones de la Confederaciones, etc, etc. Hablar de un campeonato más de Brasil en el fútbol es casi redundar. La pregunta es: ¿Cómo llegaron a ser la súper potencia?

¿Será posible que exista alguna facilidad fisiológica en los brasileños para desarrollar este deporte? Cuando se ve la naturalidad con la que dominan el balón, aunque no tengamos ninguna evidencia científica casi nos atreveríamos a decir que sí.

Con el pasillo dispuesto por los mallorquines al flamante campeón, el Barcelona, y particularmente Eto'o falló todo lo posible y su equipo cayó por 2-1 a pesar de una inicial ventaja en el marcador, obra del ariete azulgrana, que empezó su carrera en España precisamente en Mallorca.

La concentración del entrenador del campeón de Liga no tiene límite. Josep Guardiola ha anulado la rúa que tenía prevista –y ya anunciada- el club para celebrar el título de liga. El Barcelona viajará mañana a Mallorca en pleno, aunque los titulares seguramente no jugarán para darles descanso de cara a Roma.

Aún así, los jugadores, a la vuelta de Mallorca, no irán en un autobús descapotable como tenía pensado el club, ya que Guardiola ha dicho mejor anularlo porque la plantilla tiene que estar concentrada de cara a Roma. ¿Pero y si pierde en Roma? Nos quedamos sin autobús!

¡Hay que ser trabajador, pero también hay que disfrutar, señor Guardiola!

Un equipo que gana dos títulos –y que tiene el triplete a tiro de piedra- no lo hace por casualidad, sino por una increíble suma de factores, todos en su punto para que todo encaje, de manera casi milagrosa. Cuesta muchísimo ganar liga y copa en el mismo año, y estar en la semi-final de la champions. De hecho, el único precedente es el Manchester United, campeón de los tres títulos en 1999.
