Tremendo escándalo que se armó por la bendita foto que le tomaron a Michael Phelps con una pipa que usualmente está asociada al consumo de marihuana. Puedo entender perfectamente que se haya armado este gran lío comunicacional, aunque al final tampoco es gran cosa.Phelps, quien ganó ocho medallas de oro en la natación de los pasados Juegos Olímpicos, pidió disculpas por la imagen que dio y ese es el primer aplauso que se lleva de parte mía. Porque mira que uno se cansa de tantos atletas que están en la misma situación y salen diciendo que no, que ellos jamás habían hecho, que era algo trucado y que "después se conocerá la verdad de todo esto". ¡Pura mentira!
¿A cuántos de nosotros no nos ha pasado lo mismo? ¿Cuántos de nosotros fuimos motivos de burla en el colegio por otros muchachos? A todos nos ha pasado, por eso no deja de ser un poco refrescante saber que por ejemplo a Michael Phelps le pasó lo mismo.Así lo cuenta el mejor atleta del momento en su libro No Limits: The Will to Succeed (Sin límites: la voluntad de triunfar) que acaba de publicar el hombre que ganó ocho medallas de oro en los pasados Juegos Olímpicos de Pekín.

Ahora resulta que la mujer que logró en clavados femeninos una medalla, aunque sea de bronce, cobra muy caro por sus servicios como entrenadora (60 mil pesos mensuales)... por Dios, Mary José Alcalá estuvo años (ya parecía un dinosaurio en las Olimpiadas) compitiendo a nivel internacional y ¿qué logró con su entrenador?
